Attention!

As Dakota and I were folding socks a minute ago, Kennedy came up and informed me that Kade(see below) has acquired a new nickname. I braced myself for the worst and asked what it was.
"Double Dutch Master"
she said. Huh? I repeated it back, Double Dutch Master? Yes. While Kade has a great sense of rhythm, his size does not lead one to beleive that he would be a "Double Dutch Master". I am very intrigued by this new development and will strive to get photographic proof.

I love coupons!

For those of you that don't know, ....I love coupons! I do. I get a high from using them. I know that it is weird, but then so am I. I'm OK with that. Here is a list of my shopping yesterday:

14 cans of Progresso soup
17 pop tubes of Grands biscuits
3 cake mixes
4 boxes of toaster strudles
2 sacks of chex mix
1 pouch of Betty Crocker cookie mix
I paid a grand total of......
*****$2.60*****
I love it. The cashier said that it was the best shopping that she's ever seen!
Now I want to go back today and do it again!
See I'm addicted!

Updates:Part Two

Here is the piture of Kennedy. Please imagine it to be directly below this post and into the next one thank you!
Update on Kim & Penny

Just Kiddin! We are not always disagreeing! I just don't have a picture of him and I. We are doing good. Kim is the young Men's President and I am Primary President so that explains a lot of where our time goes. I am learning more about the ranch and it sounds like I will be able to get a hands on approach to my learning come this summer. We are going to spend a lot of quality family time together "on the range" this summer. (quality pictures for the blog I'm sure) We go to a lot of sports for our kids and chase after scouts and activity days.

My kids...the update!

Here is a little update on my kids.....

Kort is.....
4
in preschool
loves to rope(real animals, not the dummy)
hates walking, which means he runs everywhere
great bike rider
He tells me that I am his bestest mom in his whole world.

Kassidy...
is 6
has a lot of friends. She is as comfortable with a bunch of high schoolers as she is with 6 yr olds
is very head strong. She can change batteries in anything she wants w/ a variety of tools
loves to be outside with dad & the horses
is a great reader. Today she read her very first scripture verse all by herself.
is growing up so fast.
Every once in awhile she will be sad or sick and she will need her mom! I love it!

Kennedy....
is 8
is a sponge. She soaks in everything...beading, stamping, playing the recorder at school, sking
is very emotional. She gets her feelings hurt very easily. Not in a drama queen way, just tender
is doing very well in school. Loves to learn all the new things.
is starting to be a very good babysitter!
She is so much like me, she will say things on a weekly basis that I remember thinking or feeling when I was younger. I hope that that is a good thing.

(Pretend that Kennedy's picture is here. It is actually in the next post. I can't seem to put it here. Whatever!)

Kade...

is 11

is so easy going. He gets along with everyone.

is a hard worker. He is the first one done with his chores in the morning..almost every time.

is a great scouter. He has one more thing to do and he will be a first class(I think)

is a super trumpet player. He loves to play.

Kade is a lot like his dad. So I can use my same tricks on him as I do on Kim and they seem to work!

Dakota...

is fourteen

is always tired..not tired enough to go to bed earlier...just so stinkin' tired

is very active...b-ball, pep band, scouts, helping on the ranch.

is getting to big. He will start seminary & high school next. Oh mercy!

is a good boy who takes care of his mom. If I have a headache he will notice almost before I do and bring me my medicine. He will buy me a pop when he goes to buy him one. He still tells me he loves me...if no one is looking!

Boys, Boys, Boys!

My roommate from college and her husband and her 5 boys spent the weekend with us. We had so much fun. The boys got along great and had such great adventures.
This is Seth, and I love him. He is a fabulous talker and uses his hands a lot when he is explaining his Thomas the train set.
Here are the big boys. They were going to feed the horses, but it sure took them a long time. Quite frankly, I don't want to know what took them so long!

This is Miss Kennedy. 8 boys + 1 tom-girl sister=boring weekend
She was a good sport and rode in the tractor with her dad anyway!
It's a good thing she got some new lip gloss and a new "cute" shirt for Valentine's Day, or the whole weekend would have been a wash!

Pretty as a Picture!

I am slowly figuring out the new camera...very slowly. There are so many things to learn about it. Here are some pictures of the draft horses on the ranch. I am definately having fun trying to learn. Look out Pioneer Woman...here I come!

I have a sister-in-law named.....well I'm going to call her FS(to protect the innocent). In December she sent me a picture of snowman cookies that her daughters helped her to make. They were all cute and festive. I got all excited and went and bought all the stuff I would need.

FS's cookies all matched and all smiled. Mine have horns, hippie hair, and scowls. I know that her cookies are not better than mine, or vice-a-versa, but just different. A blog friend of mine always takes these differences and embraces them.

So here is my attempt to embrace our differences. FS probably never says please don't pee on my car(to one of her children) ......or....... It's only a buffalo, he won't hurt you.....or....if there is poop on you, you had better get naked. Poor girl. Everybody is different and that's ok. I love FS and I think she likes me to, so be who you are and enjoy it.

My sister...Superwoman!

I was just reading a blog called the NieNie Chronicles. This one sister got in a airplane crash and her other sister is taking care of her children and her life while she is recovering from some horrible burns and injuries. I don't do the blog or the sisters justice in explaining thier awesome story, but it reminds me of my sister....oh she didn't get in an airplane wreck or have any serious injuries. But she does get up everyday and face a whole world of challenges. Babies(really cute babies) husband( he's not as hot as Kim, but he'll do in a pinch), new job, housework and her favorite.......landry! I want to let her know that she rocks! I love you and am amazed at your courage and strength. Have a great day! You will make it!
